Clinical Nurse Manager
Clinical Nurse Manager Job Summary: The Clinical Nurse Manager supports the Director of Nursing in the assigned clinical areas by managing daily operations, staffing/scheduling, performance improvement, interviewing, documentation review, and Joint Commission Compliance. Well qualified candidates will have a minimum of five years of staff RN experience and at least one year of management experience in a hospital setting. The Clinical Nurse Manager will also work evening hours several days to meet the needs of night staff.
Unit Descriptions: The 6th Floor Medical/Surgical unit has a total of 50 beds with an average RN patient ratio of 5:1. This unit primarily cares for post general surgical patients as well as medical patients who are being treated for illnesses including, but not limited to: diabetes, pneumonia, GI, etc.
Clinical Nurse Manager Qualifications:
Current Florida Registered Nurse Licensure
Minimum of 5 years of Hospital RN experience in related area required
One year of management experience in a Hospital Setting required
Bachelor Degree in Nursing required
Current BLS and ACLS issued by the American Heart Association
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Clinical Nurse Manager Incumbent may be required to perform emergency duty before, during
and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency, crisis situation or disaster (man-made or natural) including evacuation sites.
The person in this position will work in a smoke-free location, and is expected to adhere to all smoking restrictions.
