APRN - Employee Health and Wellness
Summary: The APRN, EH&W is responsible for the evaluation, treatment and case management of employment related illness and injury, including but not limited to blood borne pathogen and infectious disease exposures for all of the Health System's employees. Collaborates with Human Resources and Department supervisors for worker safety and activities. Maintains privacy, confidentiality and evidence based employee health standards throughout all patient care; offering expert opinion to support EH&W nursing staff in care activities. Demonstratesdiagnostic clinical reasoning and illness/injury management in an occupational health setting based on current standards of occupational health medicine.
Minimum of a Master's Degree in nursing required.
Membership in national and regional professional organizations preferred(i.e. AANP, AAOHN).
Knowledge of Worker's Compensation, ADA, OSHA standards, and state regulations required.
Current national certification as an adult or family nurse practitioner. ·
NH and MA state APRN licensure. DEA registration. Registered in the prescription drugmonitoring programs of NH and MA. BLS/CPR. ·
A minimum of 2 years as a nurse practitioner in urgent care and/or familypractice required.
Experience with electronic medical records.
