  • POSITION SUMMARY:

    Contributes to the company's mission and vision by supporting and coordinating all quality initiatives and clinical performance improvement activity for employed physicians and practices. Manages the quality improvement activities of the program in conjunction with management. Works in collaboration with the Physicians /Staff to identify and implement specialty specific initiatives. Ensures compliance with applicable accreditation, regulatory, and licensure standards.

    POSITION EXPECTATIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Directs efforts to ensure effective Quality Initiatives Program and Performance Improvement implementation throughout the company. Provides guidance to employees/management in complying with the requirements and intentions of the program. Provides leadership to drive work for ongoing implementation and tracking of quality initiatives as well as clinical improvement and service enhancement. Supports practices in preparation of meaningful reports. Acts as a support for Quality Initiatives, Quality Improvement and Patient Safety, as directed. Prepares and submits minutes from all meetings; as directed

    In coordination with the Director of Physician Services develops and implements programs, initiatives, and improvement strategies to ensure consistency in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and other governmental requirements. Ensures that required state/federal reporting is completed in a timely manner. Monitors and communicates with Operations regarding quality initiatives and quality improvement trends. Assists in preparations of metric reports and development of meaningful improvement plans. Participates in Quality monthly, Quarterly and Yearly Operating Reviews.

    Facilitates effective communication with all Physicians/Staff and leadership regarding key clinical performance improvement activities and initiatives. Responsible for facilitating investigation, required reporting, and corrective action development for serious quality or risk issues within the division as requested by Director of Physician Services. Accesses company resources as appropriate.

    Maintains up-to-date awareness of all regulations related to Quality Initiatives, keeping abreast of pending and or implemented changes. Develops communication tools to alert Practices. Participates in development of Company Quality Strategic Planning. Maintains current competency with all current Quality Program initiatives. Provides education to employees and Medical Staff and supports ongoing education related to QualityProgram initiatives. Meets regularly with Practice Managers and encourages shared learning. Participates in the orientation of new employees to Quality Initiatives. Reviews complaints, concerns, or questions to quality issues, and provides assistance and support to Physicians and Staff as appropriate and as directed by the Director of Physician Services. Maintains the strictest confidentiality in the areas of patient, employee and physician relations. Practices and adheres to the "Code of Conduct" philosophy and "Mission and Value Statement". Knowledge of physician office practice operations.

    Knowledge of organizational policies, procedures, systems and objectives. Knowledge of applicable regulatory, compliance, and accreditation standards and requirements.

    Knowledge of governmental reporting programs. Mentor, influence, and manage through matrix reporting relationships.

    Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret complex data. Ability to prepare comprehensive management reports.

    Project Management: Skilled in project planning, task prioritization, effectively manages resources, outcomes measurement, and tracking. Takes initiative and exercises good judgment. Effective problem solving skills to include data analysis and judgment to make effective decisions.

    High Impact Communication - Effective oral and written communication skills. Effective change leadership knowledge and skills. PC Skills - Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and others as required.

    Maintains high level of confidentiality at all times. Ability to build trust and gain respect through effective team leadership and participation skills. Ability to work under minimal direct supervision but maintain a high degree of communication of current work activity with supervisors. Complete assignments with promptness and accuracy

Be proactive in providing hospitality to all BocaCare/BRRH's patients, families, visitors, employees and physicians. Serve as an ambassador for BocaCare/BRRH.

    Minimum Education and/or Experience:

    Bachelor's degree in a related area

    Graduate work/ Master's Degree preferred. Minimum 3 years of related clinical and management experience involving quality initiatives (MIPS), quality improvement, leadership, and healthcare quality practices, as well as associated regulatory rules and laws. At least one year must have been in capacity as direct supervisor of other professional level employees. Minimum 3 years direct experience in ambulatory care quality improvement preferred.

    Incumbent may be required to perform emergency duty before, during and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency, crisis situation or disaster (man-made or natural) including evacuation sites. The person in this location will work in a smoke-free location, and is expected to adhere to all smoking restrictions. In the spirit of wellness for both our employees and patients, Boca Raton Regional Hospital has instituted a mandatory influenza prevention vaccination program. Current employees must receive the influenza prevention vaccination free of charge during the recognized flu season. As a condition of employment, new hires will be required to comply with all program rules. This is a mandatory program with the exception of documented medical or religious reasons for not receiving the vaccine.
