Unit description:The Lynn Cancer Institute is a $70 Million state-of-the-art cancer center with two satellite offices just 10 miles away. It is located ½ a mile from the main hospital. The Cancer center is ACOS accredited. It is complete with Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Clinical Research, Imaging, Multi-modality clinics, Genetics and Psychosocial departments. The Infusion suite has 30 chairs at the main site and 16 at the satellite and is part of a large physician practice. Chemotherapy and biotherapy are mixed by pharmacists on site and administered by oncology specialized registered nurses.

The Infusion Nurse will is able to assess patients, administer chemotherapy safely, monitor for toxicity and manage side effects. The individual may be expected to participate in the administration of investigational agents for phase II and III clinical trials. Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, ancillary staff and patients.
Current Florida Registered Nurse Licensure
Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association
Minimum of 3 years of RN experience
Oncology Infusion experience preferred
Chemotherapy competent required
Oncology Certified Nurse preferred
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
