Manager System Engineering
Experience is required
The Manager Systems Engineering is responsible for leading and supervising a team of engineers as they develop, test, modify, and create solutions to technical problems.
Supervise and lead computer engineers, to design, plan, install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software, infrastructure and system management tools. Direct and coordinate production, operations, quality assurance, testing, or maintenance.
Make detailed plans to accomplish goals. Establish administrative policies, procedures, and standards. Coordinate activities within Information Services and other departments. Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability. Provide 2nd and 3rd level support. Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
Requirements: BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject. MA/S preferred. A Certificate and/or Advanced Specialized or Technical Training is preferred. 5 years of related experience is required for this role.
Proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting UNIX Linux based environments. Solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks Solid Cloud experience, preferably in AWS. Experience with virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware, Virtual Box)
Experience with monitoring systems. Experience with automation software. Solid scripting skills.
