Position Summary: The Pharmacy Technician works under the supervision of a pharmacist to provide pharmaceutical services for patients. These services include an extensive knowledge of medication names and uses as well as provide assistance to the Pharmacists. They are required to work within multiple Pharmacy computer programs and be proficient at computer basics. The ability to acquire the skills of sterile and aseptic compounding is required for all Pharmacy Technicians. Pharmacy Technicians are responsible for the ordering, stocking, counting, and billing of all medications used in the facility. Due to the nature of the above tasks an advanced skill set in math is needed.
Required Education/Qualifications: ·
Current California Pharmacy Technician License
Current California Driver's License
Basic Computer skills
Preferred Education/Qualifications: ·
Current National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT)
Experience in Pharmacy
