POSITION: Occupational Therapist
DEPARTMENT: Therapy Services
REPORTS TO: Director of Therapy Services
Key Responsibilities: The incumbent shall be responsible for providing a full range of Occupational Therapy services including assessment, treatment planning and therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment consistent with the position's qualifications, professional practices and ethical standards. With each patient encounter, the incumbent shall use AIDET, perform hand hygiene, assists with positioning patient for comfort and pain management, and performs environment check prior to leaving patient's room and/or maintains a clean and organized environment.
Qualifications: The incumbent shall, at a minimum, be a graduate of an AOTA approved four year bachelor's degree program (or foreign equivalent), and hold an applicable and current license to practice. Education/experience in working with an adult and geriatric population is necessary; education/experience serving people with physical disabilities is desirable.
Physical Demands and Work Requirements: The Incumbent shall have the ability to lift and transfer patients and equipment, have the ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, crouch, and communicate to provide therapeutic interventions.
Licensure/Certificates: Hold an applicable current license/certification to practice
