Information Integration Analyst
Experience is required
Under the leadership of the Director, Information Services, this individual is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing the integration / interfacing of software programs and applications across the healthcare system.
The Information Integration Analyst provides direction to maximize data integration throughout the healthcare system. Maintains a smooth interaction among various applications utilized throughout the organization, serving as a liaison between Information Services, software vendors, users, and the organization.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years experience working with interfaces/integration of data across multiple systems. In-depth knowledge of databases, database software, interface engines, and HL7 standards.
Design, develop and implement interfaces between Hunterdon Healthcare System (HHS) and various downstream systems using the Intersystems product suite to translate, transform, and archive HL7 messages.
Develop interface specifications, report guidelines and formats and documentation. Deliver integration solutions in a timely and effective manner while following defined processes and standards.
Monitor the Intersystems product suite to ensure uninterrupted message transfer between electronic systems. Troubleshooting the data transport mechanisms. Provide regular updates on status of interface projects (development, assistance and issues) to key stakeholders and IS team as appropriate.
This position requires the desire to work with people as well as exceptional communication skills. Familiarity and experience programming in Intersystems product suite. Strong understanding of HL7 interface transactions
Ability to participate in technical discussions between Subject Matter Experts, Vendor, technical users and other Intersystems product suite programmers. Experience with Cache database maintenance. Microsoft SQL Server experience including use of Query Analyzer, stored procedures, DTS. Understanding of, and experience with, client-server computing and relational database environments.
Knowledge of various reporting and query tools. Strong understanding of XML.
Experience creating and maintaining an extraction, transformation, and loading process from source systems or files into a data warehouse. Ability to coordinate, manage and track project related activities. Proficient in technical documentation including system diagrams and interface specifications in turn over.
Experienced in the documentation of structured technical specifications documents for interfaces. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Provides weekly written status reports. Excellent documentation, communication and troubleshooting skills.
