Registered Nurse (RN) ICU Per Diem
Registered Nurse / RN – Medical ICUUnit Description: The Medical Intensive Care Unit has a total of 16 beds with an average RN patient ratio of 2:1. This unit primarily cares for patients with complex medical critical care problems. Diseases managed in the MICU include but are not limited to respiratory failure due to ARDS, pneumonia, COPD, asthma, neuromuscular diseases, shock, major pulmonary embolism, congestive heart failure, acute and chronic renal failure, upper and lower gastrointestinal hemorrhage, severe pancreatitis, liver failure, and life-threatening infections.
Our Ideal Candidate: The ideal Registered Nurse candidate for this department will have a minimum one year of previous critical care experience in an inpatient hospital setting. Candidates should be familiar with vasoactive drugs, ventilators, trach care and stroke patients. RN's must have very strong critical thinking skills in addition to being compassionate and professional.
Current Florida Registered Nurse Licensure
Current BLS and ACLS issued by the American Heart Association
Minimum of 1 year of hospital ICU experience
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
