SUMMARY: Responsible for providing optimal patient care through capable assistance to the surgeon and assistant.
Demonstrates customer oriented approach through the expression of respect and understanding when communicating with others. Maintain the Mission and vision Statement of behavioral standards. Acts as professional role model. Reports to charge nurse and nurse manager and provides updates on all patient/family/physician issues. Population served by this position is all age groups.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: ·
Requires completion of a surgical technologist training course or three(3) years of Surgical Tech experience with successful completion of introductory requirements and competencies
Current CPR required
Comfortable working with computers. ·
Needs to be mechanically inclined (demonstrated in a 3 month time period). ·
Ability to hear muffled voices over background noise
Willing and able to take call.
Additional specific requirements for Mica location: ·
Ability to scrub for all outpatient procedures
Willingness to perform/support all other functions within the surgery department as needed including sterile processing, material management, anesthesia, tech duties, and housekeeping.
