POSITION: Speech & Language Pathologist
DEPARTMENT: Therapy Services
REPORTS TO: Director of Therapy Services
Key Responsibilities: The incumbent shall be responsible for providing a full range of Speech and Language Pathology services including assessment, treatment planning and therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment consistent with the position's qualifications, professional practices and ethical standards. With each patient encounter, the incumbent shall use AIDET, perform hand hygiene, assists with positioning patient for comfort and pain management, and performs environment check prior to leaving patient's room and/or maintains a clean and organized environment.
Qualifications: The incumbent shall, at a minimum, be a graduate of a Master's Degree program (or foreign equivalent) in Speech & Language Pathology, and hold an applicable and current license to practice. Education/experience in working with an adult and geriatric population is necessary; education/experience serving people with physical disabilities is desirable.
Physical Demands and Work Requirements: The Incumbent shall have the ability to lift and transfer patients and equipment, have the ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, crouch, and communicate to provide therapeutic interventions. Must be able to use computer, tablet, phone and other tools consistent with the SLP profession.
Licensure/Certificates: Current Arizona License for Speech & Language Pathology
Certificate of Clinical Competency (or eligible)
Current CPR & AED Certification
