Clinical Educator I

The Clinical Educator is an expert coach and mentor in clinical practice.
The Clinical Educator uses advanced theoretical and empirical knowledge of physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, and health assessment; assesses and intervenes in complex health care problems; selects, uses, and/or evaluates equipment, products, and devices appropriate for clinical practice; ensures that systems are set up to manage the care of complex patients with to improve and promote health care outcomes.
The Clinical Educator manages new employee orientation, ongoing in services, and policies and procedures relative to practice. Education and Qualifications
This position will be the Clinical Educator for our Women's Services. Aside from the general qualifications needed below as an educator, previous work experience in a perinatal unit is required.
Must possess a current California RN license
Bachelor's degree in Nursing required for Clinical Educator I; Master's degree required for Clinical Educator II
- 3-5 years of clinical experience required in the acute hospital setting
- 3-5 years of staff development or teaching experience preferred
