Under the direction of the Pharmacy Director, the Clinical Pharmacist provides optimal therapeutic medication regimens for Acute Care, Home Health, Critical Care, Oncology, Transitional Care and Ambulatory Care for adult, pediatric and geriatric patients. The Clinical Pharmacist reviews, assesses and intervenes in patient medication therapy, supervising the order entry and dispensing of medication orders and providing sound drug information to health care professionals and patients. Oversees the application of pharmacy law with hospital/pharmacy policies and procedures on a day-to-day basis.
Current State of California Registered Pharmacy License required.
Doctor or Pharmacy Degree or equivalent combination or education and experience required.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Minimum of 6 months experience in acute care hospital or new residency graduate.
Completion of ASHP Accredited Residency preferred.
Ability to manage time productively for daily activities and projects.
The ability to maintain effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work with current medical technology.
NOTE - When on call, individual must be able to arrive to hospital and report to duty within 1 hour of request.
