Oversees the daily operational activities related to professional fee coding and documentation services for all BocaCare physician practice service areas. Establishes and maintains an efficient and timely coding and charge capture process while ensuring the accuracy and quality of coded and abstracted information. Responsible for managing and developing strategies to ensure that best practices are utilized throughout coding services of BocaCare Physician Networks
as well as identifying opportunities for continued enhancement of revenue capture and processing. Manages processes and provides guidance, direction and support to encompass these aspects of the revenue cycle, including but not limited to multi-specialty practice revenue operations, coding, health information management, and account follow-up, as well as interaction with other related departments and functions. Responsible for planning, organizing and directing the provision of physician practice services to provide high quality, appropriate, safe, cost-effective service. Responsible for managing the day to day coding operations with special emphasis on the front end systems to assure that all information is accurate and timely across all locations. Serves in an education and advisory capacity to all coding staff and physicians as it related to documentation, coding, billing regulatory compliance to reflect services performed and to enhance revenue cycle operations. Provide financial and administrative oversight opportunities and leadership for BocaCare, Inc. Lead the efforts to consolidate operations of the multi-specialty practice business offices and establish a Central Business Office for combined patient services collections and customer service.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in a related areaor
Two to five years of management experience in related field
Individual must have strong knowledge of physician medical insurance billing and collections with CPT, ICD-9/ICD-10, & HCPCS coding and medical terminology.
Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or
Certified Physician Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist – Physician (CCS-P) preferred
