Notes	CYTOTECHNOLOGIST POSITION SUMMARYPerforms all cytological work in the anatomic pathology section of the Laboratory, seeing that assigned work is done promptly, efficiently and accurately, utilizing the team approach. All tasks must be in compliance with the standards of practice as outlined by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and CLIA. EDUCATION, TRAINING, & EXPERIENCEMust be a registered Cytotechnologist - CT (ASCP or eligible) and have equivalent training, preferably with practical experience in cytology. Fulfills educational requirements as outlined by CLIA. Knowledge of laboratory and general medical terminology is strongly encouraged. Interacting in a positive manner with all contacts is essential.
