Notes RN - Nurse Manager, Critical Care - PERM DESCRIPTION: Will oversee 20 bed Medical
Surgical Progressive Care Unit. (Stepdown) and 14 bed Primary Combined Medical Surgical &
Cardiac Unit. (Critical Care). Unit participates in the Keystone ICU project. 24/7
Physician Support - Intensivist Model of Care Reports to Director of Acute Adult
Inpatient Services and is responsible for providing leadership in the coordination of
departmental activities and the resolution of operational and patient care issues.
Integrates decisions of committees into the operation and activities of the department.
Incorporates services to provide optimal health care, managing and leading the clinical,
human and fiscal operations of the unit/dept. Draws upon clinical knowledge and
information from specialty organizations to develop standards of clinical practice for the
care patients. Ability to function successfully in an extremely challenging environment.
Establishes a course of action for self and others to accomplish specific goals;
planning proper assignments, and effective and efficient allocation of resources.
Actively attends Management Committee meetings. QUALIFICATIONS: ·Current
Michigan nursing license. ·BSN Degree (will not accept experience in place of
BSN) ·Analytical skills necessary to collect, tabulate, and analyze data to determine
and implement effective action and solutions. ·Demonstrates leadership ability,
communications, and interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with
physicians, management, staff, external agencies/customers patients/families. ·Analyzes
costs and work schedules and set priorities. ·Responsible for departmental personnel
matters pertaining to the employment, training, termination and grievance of
employees. ·Five years of current Critical Care experience and previous leadership
experience preferred. Salary Range: Will depend upon experience – are competitive
w/Lansing and Ann Arbor market. Full benefits package & 100% employer funded
pension. Please advise the recruitment fee for this need is 15% first year
salary. Manager is role to supervise: 1 – Business Mgr 2 – Unit Educ 9 – Clerical
Assocs 5 – Shift Supv 11 – TCA’s 11 – Monitor Techs 1 – Wound Ostomy Nurse 66 –
RN’s Salary range: 64k low, mid point is 83k, max is 102k
