Must support the overall goals for the program. This includes supporting QI efforts and new contract implementations and meeting individual performance and team goals. At all times, the Quitline Counselor will provide support and positive encouragement to the Quitline participants. Strives to promote an environment of teamwork and professionalism within program and throughout the Clinical Telecommunications Center. | - Bachelors Degree Required - American Heart Association - Health Care Provider BLS - Valid MD Driver's License To provide therapeutic services to patients at pathways and to provide direct liaison to the program supervisor regarding the status of the therapeutic community. This individual must have a clear understanding of age related development issues and chemical dependency. Bachelor’s in Human Service field. Knowledge of chemical dependency with ability to lecture and conduct counseling groups. Ability to make decisions regarding patient rehabilitation in the role of case manager. CAC or CCDC preferred or being currently pursued. Current American Heart Association BLS CPR certification for Healthcare Providers is required. Valid Maryland driver’s license and a driving record with no more than two points. Two years experience in the chemical dependency field as a counselor preferred. Must be available to rotate shifts/days including weekends and holidays as required.
